Village Juicery engaged 5&Vine to drive more traffic and sales in-store and across their distribution network.


Village Juicery makes whole, healthy, organic juices, smoothies and meals every night, each of which is designed by holistic nutritionists, and packed in either a reusable or compostable container. The business expanded from direct sales to a robust line of restaurant, grocery and cafe partners, along with Village Juicery owned and operated cafes. Our challenge was to help grow sales to match their ever-expanding footprint.


We grounded our recommendations in the target consumer, and then evaluated the assortment, packaging, online presence, community engagement, in-store experience and signage of Village Juicery relative to its competitors. We engaged with the founders and staff to identify internal myths that needed to be broken, opportunities that hadn’t yet been expressed, experiments that had been attempted to understand the intention and ultimate impact, and reviewed the sales data. We identified missing categories and untapped need-states, in-store experiences that needed revision, day-parting strategies, evolved signage strategies and advertising opportunities with owned assets.


Using our recommendations, Village Juicery renovated half of their store network to be more approachable with digital signs, simple product tags, and more welcoming spaces. They’re addressing more need-states with great drip coffee, approachable everyday smoothies, simpler everyday food, desserts, and at-home basics. And they’ve branded their delivery trucks to showcase their product line and strengthen the association with the restaurants they support.
