THE CHALLENGE
Notion is a D2C smart home brand that sells monitoring devices directly through GetNotion.com and via Amazon.com however, they were keen on winning business with home builders and insurance companies (to facilitate monitoring common issues that drive claims – water and temperature issues and unwanted entry).
5&Vine was engaged as their Fractional CMO to develop a marketing and growth strategy, win pilots with insurance companies and home builders, and build out a marketing team.
OUR APPROACH
Our initial focus was on bolstering customer reviews with a gen 2 product that featured a longer battery life and identifying killer use cases that deepened customer affinity. This effort not only supported consumer e-commerce but also helped us demonstrate value and momentum to insurance partners.
While this activity was underway, we interviewed, hired and onboarded an amazing marketing team to pass the baton to.
THE OUTCOME
Notion is the Proven IoT partner for Smart Insurance, helping to drive customer acquisition, increase engagement, and reduce claims. Notion partnered with leading insurers like Travelers, Nationwide, Hippo, HouseCheck, Honey and American Modern to provide their policyholders with leading smart home monitoring technology, and was ultimately acquired by Comcast.
